Moyes will have hopefully learned from today. Sitting in midfield is not really his role - he'd be okay as a midfield stopper against a better side, but if you need to take the game to the opposition he can't distribute well enough. Either you give him license to gallop totally ahead of the ball where he can be a nuisance, or you play him in defence.

When I first saw Kouyate name in team sheet had a kind of sinking feeling
I thought exactly the same as Moyes stated in his post match interview 'We gave away 2 free kicks leading to the first goal" The first, free kick was Kouyates short pass to Zab that forced Zab to foul the player who beat him to the ball
The second goal he did the same as he did with Rooney didn't pick a player running past him into the box and scoring from the cross
Sell him as soon as soon a possible as in New years day

He should be one of the first out the door in January along with his Senegalese mate Sakho. Followed swiftly by Ayew and one or two others.
The trouble is the midget shitbag that runs the club probably won't provide the funds to improve the squad much. So get used to more crap performances to follow in the coming weeks.

Can’t pass and doesn’t track back. Absolute liability in CM. As said below, has to be used in in a back 3 or in the Fellaini freak advanced role as a destroyer/presser/nuisance up the pitch.
Or just cash in and get a standard PL CM.

The 4x2s were willing to pay 20m if reports were true. Should have given them the old Mason's hand shake. Never a midfielder, would make a decent CB in place of Cresswell if managers were more clued on to recognise and nurture it.
Our defensive midfield is the issue here though. We are inadequately short and Bilic is to blame. If the 2bob wankers don't address it in Jan it's goodbye Vienna!

Got he result tonight but what an absolute non footballer this bloke is. Adds nothing on the ball, nothing going forward, rearely gets near the ball and when he does his touch is a fucking disgrace.

Needs replacing along with obiang. Neither can pass, find space, or has positional sense. Kouyate can’t tackle any more either.
We looked far better when Noble came on for Obiang.

Our defensive midfield is shocking. Obiang can’t cope with the pace amd aggression of English football and was all over the shop. Kouyate turns like the HMS Queen Elizabeth and was also woeful. Noble got hold of the ball well. We desperately need midfield reinforcements this month or we’ll be struggling till May.

Gutless, cowardly performance from Kouyate. Did his very best to hide from the ball on literally every occasion it was anywhere near him, and when he accidentally got it he couldn’t wait to complete a 4 yard sideways pass.

A great central midfield player, who's breaking up of play and lung bursting runs will have Man City looking at him as a long term replacement for Yaya Toure.
We're lucky to have him. It's just a shame some of our fans are obsessed with slagging him off.
